Thank you Susan from A Southern Daydreamer for hosting another Outdoor Wednesday! One of the things I really treasure are old houses. When I see an old house that has been kept up and renovated I really appreciate the hard work that was put into it. Below are a few pictures I took while on a walk of pretty front porches from my town. As my friend Mary said..."Porches are unique as parlors and the people who furnish them." I hope you enjoy them. ~amy

Fun porches. I so love to peek and see what other people do with their homes. I like the white/blue/pink one the best, I think.

What lovely front porches you have in your town! Congratulations on celebrating one year of blogging too!
I love the pictures you selected to share with us today. It's funny, porches are as unique as parlors and the people who furnish them. I hope you are having a wonderful day.
What a delightful collection of porches. I love them as well and will post them this fall with my door collections.
Thanks so much-- your blog is lovely, If you get a moment I would love your company some time.

It would be so nice to sit and "chat" for awhile on one of these porches. Nice job on Outdoor Wednesday post.

Stay Cozy, Carrie
Such a wonderful place. Nice shots.
I love porches -- they are so welcoming -- loved your pictures!
I love porches, I have a deck out front and a porch in the back, front porches are the BEST. I love the older wraparounds.
The porch on the brick house with the awnings is beautiful. What great pictures you got. Good Job!!!
Amy, it is so nice to meet you. I love a home with a front porch. I think it has a finished homey look to it. Thanks for visiting my blog and saying hello. You are welcome anytime. I love company. Thanks for sharing a great post.

Lovely photos. I have a historic home without a large porch, these make me jealous. Happy O.W.
Great shots of these wonderful porches!
Have a delicious day.
I am so jealous! I have two pretty nice decks but NO porch! I absolutely hate this! Well now that my living and dining room are about done..the porch is my next big dream…ooohhhh to have a place to set some wicker and pillows, lovely flowers, a fan and some lighting….sigh….
Makes you just want to sit and rock, doesn't it?
Hi,
Really liked your porch pictures. I lived on a block in Queens, NY that had beautiful porches. American flags hung from them and the neighbors were always out.

Hi Amy!! I have been meaning to take a good walk and take pictures of the pretty houses in my neighborhood SINCE SPRING!!! Oh, wow!! I best do it while the flowers are still alive!! Very pretty homes!! I like them all. Your profile shows that you live in a really nice area of the country too!
I read you last post on your 1 year anniversary (mine is fast approaching). You were very straightforward in saying you started your blog to help your business, but really, did any of us know what blogging was about ?? NOT me!! I feel all the things you do. Having a blog puts us in touch with a community of women we would probably never meet due to demographics and by sheer numbers! It's not a replacement for friendships, but it is a place for friendships that are different but equal to the ones in our everyday lives. I have been fortunate to meet a blogger in person and hope to meet many more in the future. I have a place I look forward to going everyday and I get to exercise my imagination, photography and writing abilities.
I'm so glad to meet you!!
Happy OUtdoor Wednesday, Amy!! :-)
xoxo

You live in a great place to have so many wonderful front porches. They have all but disappeared from new homes, sad! It was where neighbors gathered to visit, where we would sit outside in the summer when I was a child. Mom had all her potted plants setting along the banisters...great memories!
