Our Weekend

Our weekend started Friday evening with our daughter Aubrey coming home from college.
We had a nice family dinner (excuse the dirty dishes) and then after dinner we watched 2 movies before heading up to bed.

Saturday morning Kurt and I drove to New Jersey to visit my sister and her family. Here we are out to dinner. We had a lovely visit.

Driving home early Sunday afternoon. Heading out of New Jersey via Walt Whitman bridge going towards Philadelphia. Traffic.

Traffic.

While sitting in traffic took a picture of a beautiful steeple.

Inching our way home. Wonderful sights.

Arrive home and Maddie makes yummy biscuits for dinner and Aubrey surprises us with a yummy dessert. A warmed apple dumpling topped with vanilla ice cream and caramel syrup. I love my girls!!

...and after dinner Aubrey is practicing violin before heading back to campus that night. An action packed weekend that was wonderful from beginning to end!!! ~amy

What beautiful girls you have. How nice of them to help out with the cooking.

Happy to hear you had a great time. Don't you just love the little mini getaways?

Oh, do I totally recognize that infernal "Two Lanes to Phila" sign! I've been up and down the Eastern Seaboard more times than I want to count in the last few years. Looks like you had a WONDERFUL family time! That's awesome. You totally have to get up here to see your land in the Winter - We were so surprised the first time we did it ... Everything looks SO different in the snow!

Sounds like a fun weekend Amy. I know that view from the Walt Whitman all too well. We lived in Philadelphia when we first got married (DH born and bred in South Philly). He used to take me to Jersey so I could get my "country fix" lol. Loved the shot of Aubrey practicing, Cait does that when she comes home too. It's so nice when they are that dedicated. And I know you love to hear her play. Have a wonderful week. Kathy
