OH Amy...I have missed something special here with you! This was just beautiful! I love you for that. I was married to a Marine for 43 years and 20 of those years in the Marine Corp. He was in Korea as a young man (a boy really) and he served three tours in Viet Nam on the front lines. I so appreciate all that you say on your blog about our service men. Mine was not treated well when he returned from Viet Nam..and neither were we..his family! Thank you! Thank you SO much for your respect! Hugs and love, Mona
Welcome! Please come in and browse my blog. I'm a mom, wife, designer (not a writer by any means) and dreamer. I love anything vintage with a special fondness for vintage baby items. My home studio reflects my love for vintage. It is filled with things I treasure and love... which warms my heart and inspires me. When I look out the window of my studio...I am surrounded by beautiful mountains. Our home is situated in a valley and each time I step outside... I am in awe of the grandeur that surrounds me. I spend my days designing, embroidering and sewing. I love 40's music, the Adirondacks, ski lodges, the smell of pine, pine trees, the first snow of the season, the first warm day of spring, lilacs, Knock Out Roses, vintage china, the aroma of brewed coffee in the morning, cherries, chocolate ice cream, Niagara on the Lake, farm markets, rustic houses, Christmas, fall leaves, the smell and crackle of a woodburning fire, a good haircut. In this blog I hope to share a little bit of this, a little bit of that and whatever my latest project may be. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy your stay. ~amy
